PGC is gearing up for a "Strategic Planning Process."
It sounds bureaucratic, but it's all about defining what is it you want PGC to do for you.
Contracts with PACT. Advocacy. Catalogue. CanPlay...
What services are important to you? Are we wasting time on some things? Not spending enough time on others? How can PGC best serve its members?
The Strategic Planning Process gives you an opportunity to let us know. Not just for you, but for all Canadian playwrights, present and future.
Very soon you'll receive an email with a link to a survey. Take a few minutes to tell us, will ya?

From the playwright's guild of canada, I would have liked to have received Can Play. It seems disorganized. I paid a year's membership and was billed almost immediately again. A rep was here looking for new members so I was able to tell her that I was not prepared to pay twice, and she said she's straighten it out.
Still, the year went by with no Can Plays, no emails, no newsletters, no contact of any kind.
Until my bill again this year.
I don't really want to pay it, you know?
Until I can have some assurance that I matter as a long time member. As is, I am reading about various collections and publications I could have submitted my work to over the past year, but I didn't know about any of them.
I'm glad, by the way, that there is an atlantic branch, because we have a lot of playwrights here, per capita, and we are spread out instead of being as unified as we should be.
